This study was aimed at identifying the effects of verbal-linguisticintelligence (LI) and emotional intelligence (EI) on the academic achievement of Indonesian EFL Learners. The participants of this study were EFL learners majoring in English Education Department at the Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang, East Java, Indonesia. Two different questionnaires were used to assess learners’ LI and EI, while learners’ EFL academic achievement referred to the total score of 34 English subjects obtained from Indonesian EFL learners' academic transcripts. To analyse the data, Pearson correlation and multiple regressions were applied. The results revealed that there was a significant correlation between LI and EI, both partially and simultaneously on the academic achievement of Indonesian EFL learners. LI and EI gave 44% effect on the academic achievement of Indonesian EFL learners. Moreover, it also indicated that LIwas a better predictor of theiracademic achievementthan EI.
